I had the pleasure of attending the Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring-Summer Fashion Show 2024 in Paris, France this past January.

This was my first time solo traveling, as well as my first time flying overseas in about 15 years! As nerve wracking as it had been prior to the flight, I was quickly taken aback by the beauty of Paris. From the incredible (albeit very healthy) food to the architecture and the nice weather, it was truly a sight to see. It was also a plus that I speak French as certain situations definitely called for it.
I was lucky enough to stay at the Hotel de Sers. The hotel staff was wonderful, and the amenities were awesome! The first day of the trip was purely for sightseeing. My extraordinary friend and fellow actor Pauline visited France (her home country) just to hang out! She showed me a lot of the cool spots. I also had the chance to meet my multi-talented friend Christine (https://www.youtube.com/polyglotstories) for the first time as well! The next day was reserved for checking out the Opéra National de Paris which was actually my first opera (and definitely not my last). I also checked out a few restaurants - one of which served caviar. This was another first for me - I tried it and although I thought it was pretty cool, probably wouldn't care to eat again.
This leaves the third day, which, as you can imagine was insane. I received my official invite to the Haute Couture show earlier that day. Attendees were driven to the location which at the time was undisclosed to the public in order to avoid paparazzi. Not surprisingly, there were still many paparazzi there. We entered through a gate which naturally had very tight security. Once we passed through there, we walked into the Musee Rodin where many influential people as well as a couple of reporters were doing their thing! Everyone took pictures in front of the backdrop theme of the year and then we all headed into the main event. Celebs such as Rihanna, Anya Taylor-Joy and Natalie Portman were also in attendance. The show itself was extremely cool to see with a lot of awesome fashion styles and great storytelling by the designer.
This experience really reinvigorated my love for traveling. I met such multi-talented and hardworking people there that this truly inspired me as an actor to keep pushing forward. Would I go to Paris again? Hell yes.
